HOW TO CREATE A SELF-SIGNED CERTIFICATE
1. Connect to the machine hosting the website and open IIS Manager.
2. In the central panel of IIS Manager, under the IIS section, double-click Server Certificates.
3. In the right-hand Actions menu, select Create Self-Signed Certificate...
4. In the Create Self-Signed Certificate window that opens, enter the machine name in Specify a friendly name for the certificate and select Personal in Select a certificate store for the new certificate.
5. Click OK.
HOW TO "CREATE" AN HTTPS SITE
1. Connect to the machine hosting the website and open IIS Manager.
2. In the left-hand Connections menu, expand the server tree view and click Sites.
3. Right-click the website you want to enable HTTPS for and select Bindings...
4. In the Site Bindings window that opens, click the Add... button.
5. In the Add Site Binding window, select https in Type and assign the certificate in SSL certificate.
6. Click OK.
