Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Server) is a group of Internet servers (including a Web or Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) server and a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server) with additional capabilities for Microsoft's Windows NT and Windows 2000 Server Operating Systems.
Microsoft includes special capabilities for server administrators designed to appeal to Internet service providers (ISP's). It includes a single window (or "console") for administration of services and users management. It's designed to components as snap-ins that you didn't installed initially. The administrative windows can be customized for individual users.
Microsoft IIS allows operators to modify the configuration of any Etere's web application installed in the server, such as EtereWeb, Etere Tapeless Reception, Web Services, etc.
